UNL Academic Quadrathlon Competition

What is it?
The Academic Quadrathlon competition is an annual competition sponsored by the American Society of Animal Science. Each spring, the UNL Department of Animal Science conducts a local contest to determine the team that will represent UNL at the Midwestern Section American Society of Animal Science Academic Quadrathlon competition. At the regional competition, the UNL team competes against other Midwest region schools. An Academic Quadrathlon Team consists of four members who compete in four competitions: quiz bowl, lab practicum, oral presentation, and written test.

When is the competition?
The local (UNL) competition will be held on February 19 and 23, 2009. Teams will be required to be present on both evenings from 5:00 – 8:30 p.m. **DINNER WILL BE PROVIDED ON BOTH EVENINGS.

Why participate?
The competition gives student’s the opportunity to demonstrate their knowledge of animal agriculture and the winning team has the opportunity to participate in the regional competition that is conducted annually at the ASAS Midwestern Section meeting in Des Moines, IA.

Team formation and sign-up?
