    • This internship consisted of regular daily work with cattle and other ranch work such as putting up hay. Also helped with managing of the Barta Brothers Ranch

  • Circle 5 Ranch

    • Worked on the ranch with rotational grazing, range condition. Learned about Artificial Insemination and Heifer and Bull Development. Did some haying and feeding. Learned about cutting and also did backgrounding work.

    • The internship takes place on a composite cow-calf seedstock operation. The intern is involved in all aspects of a ranching operation as well as the merchandising aspect of a seedstock operation.

  • Kentucky Equine Management Internship

    • Interns get a chance to do a 6-month program for either Session I that consists of spring breeding and foaling season or Session II, which incorporates the yearling sales prep and breaking season. At the beginning students attend a one-week short course orientation to the Kentucky horse industry. Then students are placed on a farm that fits their experiences and interests and work there for the remaining 6 months.
